Trying to Emmulate Dad

Dad (K10) brings lunch to his Pelican Harbor nest on Santa Cruz Island for his 2 young chicks. The youngest chick (Spirit) immediately grabs it and makes an attempt to eat it. Hasn't quite figured out that he/she needs to hold it down with his/her talons and eventually gives up and moves to the side hoping Dad will feed them. Dad has different ideas and flies off. Spirit seems to try to emmulate K10 by flapping his/her wings to follow. These eaglets are part of the ongoing restoration project by IWS.
