Africa- 800,000 years BCE. One of the most successful Hominid species, Homo erectus, were the first to leave Africa to later evolve into the Neanderthal. However, scientists believe due to strong evidence that a larger population stayed in Africa and evolved into Homo ergaster and eventually Homo sapiens which later developed into modern man.
