Oliver Fund

Back

As some of you may already know know, a cat found me about a week ago while I was walking around my neighborhood. Oliver, as he has come to be called, was very skinny, but very friendly, and needless to say, I have been taking care of him since then. He is fattening up quite nicely and after I get him to the vet for his tests (FIV, feline leukemia, distemper, rabies, etc., he will also be checked to see if he has a microchip), I hope to get him adopted out to a permanent home. But there's the small issue of his vet visit... I am currently a server and not making the most money of my life. His first vet visit will cost $140 at Branmar Veterinary Hospital, and there will likely be a prescription for de-worming medication which will be another $30 or so. Then there is the issue of whether or not he is neutered, which would be an additional $150-$200. That's quite a large sum for a kitty who just followed me home. That's where you come in. If you have a few extra dollars to spare (seriously, even $5 would help immensely), please consider donating a little bit to the Oliver Fund. Most of you know me well enough to know that this money will absolutely only be used towards Oliver's benefit -- food, vet costs, etc. -- and if you have concerns about sending money, please feel free to email me and ask any questions you might have. I'll admit to feeling a wee bit silly asking for money from people, but this is for Oliver, and I do believe that even stray kitties deserve a second chance.
