BackLa hacienda de San Jerónimo fue fundada en el año de1560. El primer Ingenio de caña de Azúcar de Centroamérica fundado por Rafael Luján en 1601. Esta hacienda llego a ser el patrimonio mas importante del reino Español en América Central por su producción de azúcar cochinilla, (tinte natural) uvas, vinos y licores de olla.
