Here's the script for the video: _________________________________________ So, you begin by claiming that the universe could not have always existed. Although this is limited to our minute understanding of the universe, I'll give this to you just so we have a decent grounds for the argument. So everything needs a cause. And as such, something must have created the universe, because it could not have always existed. Your claim can be summed up this way. Nothing is eternal. Therefore, something had to be eternal to make the universe. In which case, things CAN be eternal. Who is to say that this 'higher plain of existence' that God exists in is not also subject to our universes laws? Then does God need a god? This of course would make him omni-null. Or in other words, he could not be all power, all knowing, or all-anything, because the same logical problem occurs at tiers above him. But regardless of this logical fallacy, let's look at your actual argument for God. God is eternal. Therefore he created man in his present state, placed dinosaur bones in the ground to fool us, and has a complex and totalitarian system of laws for the only beings which have the capacity to understand them. That's a huge leap. Though the logic for the begining of the universe is valid, it fails in it's attempt to prove a God. How? Well, it says god is outside of the laws of the universe. This means he is outside of time and space AND logical reasoning. With this in mind, is an omnipotent god not capable of creating an eternal universe which has always existed? Well, I'd say no. Because he cannot create something that has always existed. So because it's not within his power to do this, he is not all powerful (or as you put, omnipotent). As you can see, this road of logic you try to travel down only runs into bigger logical problems. In closing, Atheists claim that there is no God as God cannot be proven by empirical evidence. If God exists outside of time, that simply SUPPORTS the atheists claim. The universe embodies anything that physically exists. And even if your chain of bad logic somehow lead to God, he would still be non-existent in the universe. PS: What your scratching at is Deism, not Christianity.
