CROSS STUMP PROCEDURE: PATIENT: 31 y., male HISTORY: Blast injury with traumatic amputation of the lower leg. TREATMENT: After wound excision, a skin flap was grafted from the opposite thigh and used as cover tissue on the open stump. The "tube-to-tube" frame using tubular external fixator was applied to stabilize both limbs to allow the graft healing. AFTER CARE: Well tolerated by the patient, the fixator was removed and the skin flap was divided after three weeks. Following physiotherapy allowed full range of motion and the patient was fitted with a PTB prosthesis. This case is presented by Med.
